But, as we all soon come to realize, the liquid within the glass only provides a temporary escape, leaving us with nothing but a throbbing hangover and a shattered heart. And that's precisely what happens to the protagonists, Ron, and Jo Anne Hendrix of my novel Glass of Lies. 

Ron, a young preacher with immense potential but no faith, finds himself trapped in a world of anxiety and fear, constantly worrying about being exposed as a fraud.

This dynamic story takes us on a journey through the wasted promise of a man consumed by his own demons of success, spiraling deeper into the abyss of self-loathing with each passing day. When Jo Anne retreats to her family in southern California, Ron finds himself alone and abandoned, wandering the streets of Houston with nothing but a "Glass of Lies" to keep him company. The curse of booze lands him in jail for public drunkenness. From behind bars, he screams out begging for a touch of truth he’s searched for all of his life.

That answer comes when he least expects it, Jo Anne returns, ready to forgive and help him lead a life of sobriety.
